Above is the view into the lower test area, with Peter Manning, in his trials prepared Midget, waiting for the start signal from Martin Prescott. New member John Williams was competing in his first event in the Astra convertible, while Andrew Dudley and his daughter Laura were trying out their newly acquired Mazda MX5, with Andrew driving here, and we may see this car in another type of event next year.

George Wall, who has previously been on the organising side of this event, put his Mazda 323 into the fray to finish first in Class C, and the green Midget, shared by Richard and Jim Withers, was competing without its bonnet... the engine runs better that way.
