One of the club's most successful drivers, Simon competes at club and regional level in most types of event, including rallying, sprints, hillclimbs, autotests, and Solo's; and has also been much involved in the club's development.

Shared with father Maurice and brother Adrian, the May fleet of competition cars currently includes a Renault 5 GT Turbo, a 1300 Mini, a 205GTi 1.6 rally car, and a 2 litre rally Escort.
